The venue and course at Coetzenberg offers spectators a variety of options when it comes to viewing the days racing, including being on the course, in the grandstands on the finish line or with an ice cold frosty in the chill zone.
On the Course
Get in on the action and head off on to the course as soon as the racing has started. Follow the spectator signage and visit all the technical features on the course as you follow your favourite riders around each lap.
Enjoy a break at the Rock Garden, where a big screen and a chill zone will keep you hydrated and in on the racing as you enjoy the shade of the gumtrees, or take a few minutes to enjoy a cold one at the exit to Khoi Spirit before heading off to the next feature.
In the Chill Zone
If you are not up to exploring the course all day then take some time out in the Chill Zone in the race village where you will be close to the finish line and able to watch the action live on several TV screens. Situated opposite the Team Feed Area you will be able to enjoy an ice-cold beverage and see how the riders received team support as they pass through this area twice on each lap.
The best place to watch the start and finish to a UCI World Cup is the grandstand in the race village. Arrive early and secure your space, but make sure you have your walking shoes on so that you can make the dash into the forest to enjoy the action as each lap unfolds.
For the less adventurous enjoy your prime spot on the grandstand and keep an eye on the action on the big screen and watch as the riders pass under the start arch on each lap.
Food and Beverages
Watching the UCI World Cup takes a lot of energy and it is important to stay hydrated. There will be plenty of food vendors, including a Woolworths TO GO Zone in the race village at Coetzenberg as well as a chill zone in which spectators can relax and enjoy an ice cold cool drink, glass of wine or beer.
For those out on the course there will be refreshment stations at the Rock Garden and at the exit to Khoi Spirit, both ideally located to fuel you up as you cross the course following the action.
